Support the MawkibMore than a service point, the Sisters Mawkib represents what community spaces can look like when women are actively involved in shaping them.
The Sisters Mawkib is a dedicated, women-led space at the London Arbaeen Procession, created so that sisters have a home within the procession, in service of Sayeda Zainab (sa) and Imam Hussain (as).
In its very first year the Mawkib served hundreds of sisters, offering hijab-fixing stations, conversation and prayer spaces, a feeding area for mothers, and a warm support team on hand throughout the day.
Every contribution supports our presence and the care we can offer, ensuring women's needs and experiences are actively represented on one of the most important days in our calendar.
